Family is of God

Since our oldest daughter Kersten moved to Layton, Nicole and I have gone there for Sunday dinners for the past few weeks.  Today the rest of our family drove down from Hyrum to join us.  It was a great day!!

As James and I left Kersten's house my heart broke.  James headed north to Hyrum and I headed south to my sister's house.  James said "I hate this".  I told him "at least we don't live Montana - we can at least see each other." 

As Nicole and I were driving back to my sister's house the word to the song "Family is of God" keep coming to my mind.  Especially the chorus:  “God gave us families to help us become what He wants us to be—This is how He shares His love, for the family is of God,”



It is hard to be separated, but I know our family is growing in ways that "helps us become what He wants us to be".
